Library Partners of Atmore, formerly Friends of the Atmore Public Library,
formed to provide support for the Library,
is funded through memberships and donations
of caring citizens who realize the importance
and value of this resource to our community
and the surrounding areas.
Library Partners 2010 drive began on March 1, 2010. Please join them in providing funds for the library.
During 2009, contributions to the Friends organization funded our new web-based ciruculation and catalgoing system. The organization provided a local match for the 2010 LSTA grant which purchased computers and software to help prepare preschoolers for kindergarten. They purchased Dreamweaver software for a new and updated website (www.atmorelibrary.com). They also provided entertainers for our 2009 Summer Reading Program. These contributions enabled us to better serve our patrons. Without our Friends we could not possibly provide the level of service we do.
A new table was purchased for the Children's Department with funds from Library Partners of Atmore. Thank you Library Partners!
